Colter's Daughter - Review

He let her go once. This time he’s playing for keeps. Callie Colter once chased sunsets all over the world. Until Max. Together they were a perfect storm of desire, and she reveled in the beautiful burn. Then he disappeared, and the betrayal drove her home to lick her wounds.  Who knew he’d have the gall to show his face in her brother’s bar.  Max Wilder figures he deserves Callie’s right hook to the jaw, but it changes nothing. He had his reasons for pursuing her across Europe, for making her fall in love with him. But when she took everything he gave and offered more, she changed all the rules. He had no choice in leaving her, but he’s back. This time for the right reasons.  Callie is angry and hurt, yet powerless against Max’s relentless onslaught. He’ll settle for nothing less than her complete surrender—and her love. Only when she’s back in his arms will he be truly happy. And the damning truth can stay safely tucked away.   Except the truth has a way of creeping to the surface, and now Max is out of second chances.

Warning: This title contains adult language, explicit sex, rough sex, anal sex. In other! Also contains themes of D/s which might offend some readers.  Lots of angst, emotion and betrayal. Second chances and lots of warm fuzzies  - Gotta love a book that comes with its own warning!

**Summary taken from Goodreads**

I am a huge fangirl of Maya Banks and her Colters' Series. Colters' Woman and Colters' Lady such terrific reads, hot and full of romance and one lucky girl having THREE brothers to herself. So I was eager to finally read all about the daughter in the family. Colters' Daughter tells Callie's story. Pampered and spoiled by all the males in her family, but strong willed and with a good heart she left the family home to travel and returns heartbroken having fallen deeply and quickly in love on holiday and finds herself unceremoniously dumped and went home to lick her wounds. And this is where the story takes a different slant from the other two books in the Colters' Legacy series. There was no three brothers all falling in love with Callie. Noooo! Say it isn't so!? Just one man; Max. Gorgeous and bossy Max. So before I could sulk over not having three heroes to fall in love with, in strode this amazing character filling the pages with his dominating presence and I was submerged in their story.
Colters' Daughter (Colters' Legacy, #3)
Loved it so hard.

Max has a struggle on his hands trying to win back the hurt Callie, he wanted to dominate her and made no secret of that fact. And Callie, wary and guarding her heart from being humiliated and hurt again fights against  him, ultimately though, she loves and wants to be with him and despite the unusual set up of her family she worries about letting him control so much.

With a major twist thrown in towards the end that I didn't see coming, Colters' Daughter is everything you want from this series with revenge and redemption being the underline premise throughout. A sexy and lovely story, the dynamics between the characters drawing me in instantly. And I was a happier fangirl to see cameo appearances from the past characters. Swoon eyes.

Favourite Quotes:

she loved fiercely, but she was also capable of holding a grudge forever.
It bordered on obsession. His need to possess her. To mark her. To stake his claim—again. This time… This time he wouldn’t let her go. Not ever again. He simply wasn’t whole without her.
Anyone with eyes could see that Max had all but pissed on her and marked her.

A must read for all Maya Banks fans and newbies alike! Go read Book One!
I give Colters' Daughter by Maya Banks 4 sparkles out of 5!
