Pleasures Untold - Review and Giveaway

Hell hath no fury like a witch done wrong. Pissed off and packing an arsenal of witchy mojo, Martha is on the warpath. Determined to avenge the murder of her mother and grandmother, her mission is simple: kill every vampire, demon and underworld bastard she comes across, because one of those hell beasts might be the monster that stole her childhood from her. But when a sexy Latin vamp literally falls from the sky, saving her from becoming an undead Happy Meal, she has no choice but to reassess everything she thinks she knows. Xan is an anomaly --a vampire born, not turned. A powerful warlock who walks in daylight, Xan spends his days, and nights, watching over Martha, protecting her from Lucian, the blood-sucking monstrosity whose sole mission in death is to drain her dry. Undeniable attraction and the promise of pleasures untold draw the two lovers into a frustrating dance of one step forward, two steps back. When Lucian throws down a deadly ultimatum, Martha is forced to choose between relying on her own mystical woo woo to save the lives of her stolen friends or succumbing to the lure of dark, voodoo magic. Xan and Martha must work together to save those closest to her and put an end to Lucian's reign of terror before it's too late.

Pleasures Untold by Lisa Sanchez, the follow on book from the Wonderful Eve of Samhain tells Martha's story. A powerful gothic witch out for revenge on the Vampire who killed her family. She uses glamours to alter her appearance to blend into the under belly world of the demons, vamps, ghouls and spooks, hunting down the Vampire Lucian.
I was so excited to finally read Pleasures Untold, i was a huge fan of EOS to the point of obsession (ha) Lisa Sanchez writes characters that draw you in right away, I was intrigued by the glimpses we got of Martha in book one, she has changed somewhat in PU, more open, more friends, i kind of missed the gloomy mysterious goth girl but her development was needed, i couldn't see the pissed off witch from EOS falling for the Deliciousness that is Xan (insert swoon noises here)

Xan, oh Lisa Sanchez gave me another book boyfriend! right from the first time he appeared i was in crushville, i loved the chemistry with Martha and Xan, it felt real and believable.

Although it had a slower pace, i was right in the story, this is a book of "must read" variety, Lisa Sanchez writes characters with depth, humour, kick ass skills, sexiness and with great dialogue, and enough action to keep you turning page after page. I highly recommend this book, this series and this author. Love!

Favourite Quotes:

One minute Xan was standing in the center of my room, the next he was on my bed. Literally on top of me, his body pressed against mine, while his hands braced against the wall on either side of me. He lowered his head, gently grazing his lips along the column of my neck as he inhaled my scent.

“I can smell your desire for me, cariƱo. You crave me, the way a junkie craves his next fix. I have but to snap my fingers and you would be naked beneath me, begging me to bite you, begging me to take you."

Yet another wonderful engaging read, can't wait for the next book!

I give Pleasures Untold by Lisa Sanchez 4 Sparkles out of 5! Vampilicious!

I want to read these! From what I have read Xan sounds like someone I want to know! Why? he has my ninja bear in her sparkly jumpsuit all swoonish!! The second character... hmmmm I am interested in how Martha deals with things, revenge and powers can make for a disaster or a right wicked chick, I am hoping for the latter!

Thanks for the review! I enjoyed the book as well, but I felt Martha was a bit dense at times! Hmmm.... thinking I'll love the next book as well, tho!
